City of Austin Renews Contract with Third Party Administrator, JI Companies
AUSTIN, TEXAS – The City of Austin has renewed its contract with JI Companies to provide third party administrator services for the City’s self-insured workers’ compensation program. The evaluation panel recommended JI as the best proposer based on their qualifications, knowledge and demonstrated experience in claims administration and extended services, management information system and reports, and proposed cost of services. The contract term is March 1, 2006 to Feb 28, 2007 with three 12-month extensions. JI has served as the City’s administrator since 2001.
“JI provides us with the complete program. Our injured employees are well taken care of, claims are investigated thoroughly, and measurable savings have been achieved. We are delighted to continue this successful relationship,” said the City’s Risk Manager, Leslie Milvo.
