Texas PRIMA Presentation by JI Companies’ Vice President
Galveston, TX – JI Companies’ Vice President Parker Chambers presented at this year’s Texas PRIMA Conference in Galveston, TX, on Thursday, November 15. The focus of the presentation, Best Practices for Insurance Placement and Managing Your Plans, was two-fold.
The first portion of the presentation centered on items that should be included in property/casualty insurance and employee benefits market submissions. Later, Chambers discussed the type of information entities should gather from their vendors/TPAs and carriers in order to best measure the performance of their various plans. He emphasized that only through close and careful plan management can one expect positive results.
“Ultimately, the goal is to help risk managers manage their plans or programs more effectively by illustrating what type of reports or data to request from their systems and vendors,” said Chambers. “In order to accurately gauge the performance of a program, one must be able to identify potential exposures and address significant concerns. That is what we are showing today. We also want risk managers to be able to implement the best practices for the placement of their insurance coverages.”
